6 days ago your Varsity football team played another thriller taking the #1 team in the state down to the wire before falling 31-17 to SHG. Special Team player of the game was Matt Severino who nailed a 47 yard field goal. Offensive co-players of the game were Derek Jones who completed a beautiful double pass to Cam Jones for the opening score of the contest. Defensive player of the game was Rahkeem Hawkins who was unblockable all night. Overall player of the game was Peyton West who returned a fumble for a touchdown late in the game to bring the Senators within 7 points.

Last night was Senior Nite and the team played their hearts out against Rochester. Overall Player of the Game was Lucas Rockford who threw for a TD and ran for 2 more. Offensive Player of the Game was Reed Carlson who caught a TD pass. Defensive Player of the Game was Rahkeem Hawkins who was unblock able again last night. Special Teams Player of the Game was Matt Severino who pinned a punt inside the 5 that led to an SHS safety by Hawkins. Your Senators jumped out to a 9-0 2nd quarter lead but eventually fell 41-23 to Rochester.

Coach Gully would like to thank all the young men who played and stayed out for the entire season. It was a very competitive season and the team established what Senator football will be like in the future. There will be a meeting for players interested in playing next year before Thanksgiving break.
