  Good morning Springfield High! Today is Monday, March 20, 2017 where successful Senators follow the classroom and school wide expectations and allow for learning all throughout the building. Thank you for Being A Senator!

 

 

The SHS Boys track and field team finished 2nd out of 29 teams at the Charleston Indoor Invitational on Saturday.  Top 3 finishers for SHS were: Wendel Burnes 2nd in the 60; Jackson Esela 2nd in the 1600; Robert Williams finished 3rd in the 60 hurdles; Cameron Jones 3rd in the long jump, and Tyrone Treadwell finished 2nd in the triple jump.  Sophomore Robert Williams broke his own school record in the 60 m hurdles.  Great job boys!

 

 

Atención Spanish Club! We will be watching the movie ‘Despicable Me’ in Spanish after school on Thursday, March 23rd in room 260. All members are welcome. There will also be plenty of food, so come with an appetite.  Hope to see you there!”

Congrats to JV Girls softball team on their 4-3 win over SHG On Saturday!

 

Boys Varsity Tennis Team competed last weekend at the Metamora tennis tournament winning against Moline 3-2, Ottowa 4-1, and losing 2-3 to Metamora.

In singles, Raj Sinha was 2-1 and Shaul Latif was 3-0.

Doubles teams included Sean Burke and Tim Hughes 1-2,

Matu Christos and Milan Parikh 2-1, and

Connor McAndrews and Eric Martin 1-2.

Congratulations to the Varsity Boys Tennis team.
