The baseball team took one on the chin last night from their Washington Street rivals by a 7-nothing score, but it was not for lack of effort or performance. The Cyclones simply dominated by tossing a 2 hitter at the good guys who did several things well. Austin Troemper, Jacks Hyde, Ben Rempfer, and Will Reiser all gave great efforts on the mound, but the Cycs’ offense was simply too much for SHS to overcome. Hyde and Reiser had the only Solon hits in an otherwise solid performance by the Senators. A rematch is set for today at 4:15 at Lanphier Park. The ball team would like to thank the student section who came out to enthusiastically add much fun to game one.
