Good morning Springfield High! Today is Tuesday, August 22, 2017 where successful Senators follow the classroom and school wide expectations and allow for learning all throughout the building. Thank you for Being A Senator!

Picture Day is Monday, August 28th in the auditorium. 

ANNOUNCEMENT-New Class Options available for Juniors. If you are interested in taking AP Music Theory or AP Art History, it is now available to Juniors. For AP Music Theory, you must have completed Honors Music Theory 336 to enroll. It’s only offered 3rd period, For AP Art History, There is no prerequisite, and students who've done well in courses such as history, literature, or studio arts, are encouraged to enroll. It’s only offered 4th period, If you are interested in the class, please see Mr. Williams in the Guidance Office. 

Attention Seniors: The Acorn Scholarship is now available. The Acorn Equality Fund is a grassroots organization that provides college scholarships for Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender (GLBT) persons, their children, and allies in Illinois' downstate counties. Scholarships range from $1,000-$5,000. Applications available at acornequalityfund.org. Applications are due by Friday, September 22nd. See Mrs. Lauer for details! 

Freshmen: If you are interested in becoming a doctor, please pick up an application for the P4 program in the guidance office.  P4 is the Physicians Pipeline Program for students. The Pipeline application and video are up on the School of Medicine’s Diversity web page - http://www.siumed.edu/diversity/p4-physician-pipeline-preparatory-program.html.  Please check it out and ask an administrator for more information.
