SHS Girls' Tennis Team will be hosting a fundraiser at Chipotle Restaurant, 2579 W. Wabash Ave., from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 20th. This is our one fundraiser of the year to raise money for our team so we hope they will attend. When they place their order you either need a flier (which you can get from a tennis team member) or just mention that you are their to support the Girls' Tennis Team fundraiser so that the Team gets credit for the purchase.

Attention Seniors. Your class panoramic picture will be taken tomorrow, Friday, September 15th at 8:00 am on the front lawn, weather permitting. The pictures will then be available for purchase during the lunch shifts on Monday, September 18th. Packages range from $25 to $45, and cash, checks, or money orders will be accepted. Checks should be made payable to the Goldbeck Company.
Any Junior interested in taking the PSAT/NMSQT test should bring $18 to the Guidance office no later than next Friday, September 15th to sign up. This is the National Merit Scholar Qualifying Test, and your score could qualify you for scholarship offers. If you have any questions please see Ms. Smith.

The boys golf team trails SHG in the City Tournament after last night's 2nd round at Panther Creek. Adler Boatman shot a 40, Zach Richmond and Austin Floyd had 43's, and Jack Zerfas carded a 45. Today's 3rd and final round at Lincoln Greens tees off at 3:00.
There will be a FAFSA Financial Aid night held by Mrs. Lauer, the post secondary coach, and the Illinois Student Assistance Commission on Monday, September 18th from 6:00-7:00pm in the SHS commons. FAFSA completion night will be held Monday, October 30th from 6:00-7:00pm in the SHS commons. An e-mail with more information will be sent out to senior families as well. "The homecoming spirt days this year are Monday, September 25th, Jungle Day. Tuesday the 26th is Holiday Day. Wednesday is country vs country club. Thursday will be decade day where freshman are 50s, sophomores are 60s, juniors 70s, seniors 80s. And finally Friday the 29th is color day, freshman wear camo. Sophomores are red, juniors black and seniors wear togos!"
Hey, who wants money? The Class of 2020 does, so we are having an epic garage sale on Friday, Sept. 22 from 1:00-7:00 (you don’t have school that day!). But to make the dollars, we need stuff to sell! And that’s where YOU come in. Please collect and bring your items to the Kurman’s at 1010 Williams Boulevard on Thursday the 21st between 4 and 7:00. Mrs. Lauer will be taking 30 students to tour SIU-Edwardsville and hear an admissions presentation on October 10th. If you are interested in attending, you must sign up IN PERSON 4th-7th hours, while she is in the post secondary office. You cannot sign up for your friends. The deadline for seniors to sign up is Friday, September 29th. After that time, juniors will have the opportunity to sign up to attend as well. Students must be passing all classes to attend.
