The Public Information Sessions for Springfield Area high school students interested in applying for the Sister Cities Association of Springfield (SCAS) student exchange in Ashikaga, Japan will be today and Monday, February 12. Each session will be at 7:00 PM in the Board Room of the Springfield District 186 Administrative Center, 1900 West Monroe Street, Springfield, IL 62704 (next to Grant Middle School, across from Fairhills Mall).
Do you know any kids ages 4-14 that love to dance?! Tell them about the Scarlet Line Dance Camp on Saturday February 3rd. The cost is $35 and they will receive a t-shirt and perform at a Varsity game that night! They can find the camp form on the Scarlet Line Facebook page or the SHS website. All camp forms and fees are due by Friday. Don't forget to come cheer on the kids and our basketball team as they play against Decatur Eisenhower.
We are offering an OLIVE GARDEN DINNER tonight. Dine-in or take out in the commons from 5:00-7:00 p.m. For $10 per ticket, get a delicious Olive Garden salad, breadsticks, pasta and a meat. Tickets are available in the main office. All proceeds benefit the SHS After Prom.
Valentine flowers will be sold before school and during both lunch shifts in the commons beginning tomorrow. If you want to order a flower to be delivered to that someone special be sure to buy one at the low cost of $1.00 per carnation. The flower will be delivered to students on Valentines Day here at school.
There is a Springfield Legacy Investment Club meeting today from 7:00-8:30 in room 216.
The SHS Photo Video club will be meeting today right after school in the commons.
Atención Spanish Club! We will be watching the movie ‘Ice Age’ in Spanish after school tomorrow in room 260. All members are welcome. There will also be plenty of food, so come with an appetite. Hope to see you there!
Girls city basketball is this week at home!! Tonight at 7:30 against Lanphier (white out), Thursday at 7:30 against Southeast (Hawaiian) and Saturday at 6:30 against SHG (Country club)!! Come out and be as loud as we were for boys!
