Ninth grade students who are interested in applying for the P4 physicians preparatory pipeline program need to stop by the guidance office to pick the application information sheet. The application deadline is September 25.
Seniors-If you plan to be a December Graduate, please have a parent call or email Mr. WIlliams the week of Sept. 4 to set up an early graduation contract meeting.
Senior Photos - NEW INFORMATION
Seniors and early graduates are required to have their official picture taken by Grussenmeyer’s Photography. The photo must be taken by December 15, 2018. Grussenmeyer’s is located at 41 Pinehurst drive, 787-6688 and requires a $15 sitting fee with no pressure to make additional purchases. This year, we encourage all seniors to have their portrait taken at school. Grussenmeyer’s will be at SHS for senior pictures on:

Wednesday, September 19th from 2:30 pm - 5:00 pm
Friday, September 21st from 9:00 am - 3:00 pm (no school for students that day)

Atención! All are welcome to join Spanish Club for as little as $5. Spanish Club members can enjoy fun activities like the back to school fiesta, watching movies in Spanish, the International Dinner, paintball, capture the flag, bowling, dinner at a Mexican restaurant, and more! There’s no business like show business and we are calling all directors! If you are interested in directing the fall play, pick up an application on the main office counter. Theater experience is required and you must have a staff member who is willing to sponsor.
The 2018-2019 Capitoline Yearbook is on sale now in room 254 at a cost of $60 each. To order yours, bring your check, money order or cash to room 254. In January, the cost for each will be $70.
Seniors, The cost to put your baby picture in this year's yearbook is $10. Bring your picture and the $10 fee to room 254.
Attention! Attention! Are you interested in photography and or filmmaking? Then the SHS Photo Video Club is for you! Our goal is to create a creative community within Springfield high and showcase our talents. Some of the many things we do include: Photo outings, movie making, workshops, spirit videos and having fun! Wanna join or just check us out? Pick up an order form for the new black tux t-shirt that we will all wear at the football game on Friday, September 7th. Turn in the form and 10 bucks by Tuesday to the main office or to Mr. Kramer.
The Lady Senator Golf Team finished 8th out of 19 teams at the U-High Girls Classic yesterday at Weibring Golf Course. Senior Sofia Baptist led the way with an 84 which was good enough for a 10th place medal out of the more than 100 golfers who competed. Great job Sofia.
Your varsity football team looks to get on the winning track tonight against cross town rival Southeast. The game will be played at Southeast at 7:00 and the forecast calls for clear skies so please be there in support. The football program is also beginning a quick sale of football gear for the homecoming game. The sale ends on Wednesday and you can pick up order forms from each floor. On the 1st floor pick up forms from Coach Gully in 124. On the 2nd floor from Coach Hebb or the main office. On the 3rd floor from Ms. Negele.
