Good morning Springfield High! Today is Monday, December 17, 2018

Students will pick up their second semester schedule before school January 3.  9th and 10th grade schedules will be in the commons.  11th grade schedules will be in front of the guidance office.  12th grade schedules will be in the annex.

The Capitoline Yearbook is on sale now at $60 a copy.  Bring your check, money order or cash to room 254.  In January, the cost is $70 a copy.

Seniors - Baby pics should be turned in by Thursday end of day.  

Last call for senior portraits for the yearbook, Grussenmeyer will be at SHS Wednesday, January 2nd from 9:00-3:00 in the cafeteria or you can call Grussenmeyer Photography at 787-6688 to set up a time to take senior portraits.

Hey Springfield High students! Are you looking for an easy SHS gift for the Holidays? See Mrs Troike, Mrs Eaton, Mrs Johnson or any of the class of 2019 officers to get a phone wallet or car magnet! $5 a piece!

Members of the academic challenge need to stop by room 510 and check the list outside the door to make sure their names are spelled correctly and they are signed up for the correct subjects. Also sign up for the academic challenge Remind group.

Be A Senator will be passing out FREE donuts today during both lunch shifts in the commons for any student who had NO referrals and NO tardies for 2nd Quarter.

We will not have Sign Club after school today. Happy Holidays and I look forward to seeing you after break. Mrs. Gibson.

The Lady Senator basketball team jumped out an 8 point halftime lead but lost to OFallon 53 to 46. SHS was led in scoring by Maya Fetter and Devyn Heard each with 11 points. Next up for SHS is a game Thursday at Belleville East.

Attention Baseball Players: Conditioning for tonight has been cancelled due to this week's upcoming final exasms. We will have our last optional workout of 1st semester Thursday night from 6 to 7:30. 

The boys swimming and diving team placed 6th out of 19 teams at the Bloomington Invite on Saturday.  Drew Harmon took third and Jack Sandberg sixth in the diving competition to start off the day.  Michael Patton finished 1st in both the 100 yard butterfly and backstroke while Alex Rivera came in ninth in the butterfly. Josh Morton was fourth in the 200 IM.  Jerry Freetly was eighth in the 50 yard freestyle and Lleyton Power 13th in 200.  Our relay team of Patton, Morton, Rivera and Freetly finished 2nd in the 200 medley and 6th in the 400 freestyle.

Any freshmen football players that paid for camp but did not get their camp shirts yet can pick them up in Coach Gully’s room either today or tomorrow before or after school only.
