If you are thinking about signing up for CACC next year, consider going to the CACC Open House on Thursday 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Meet teachers, tour the building and learn about the different programs available for juniors and seniors. Remember, you must have good attendance and be on track for graduation to sign up for CACC. The CACC building is located at 2201 Toronto Road, Springfield, IL.

Juniors and Seniors if you qualify for National Honor Society by grades, your name will be on the list outside Rooms 326, 356, the Library, or the Main Office. You need to see Mr. Kramer in Room 326 in the morning, or 153 A, in the afternoon, to get information for applying. Applications will be due by February 11th.
Track and field practice will begin today for all boys and girls not involved in a winter sport. All athletes must have a current physical, athletic card and team rules sheet turned in to practice. See Coach Cotner with any questions!
The Junior Class is excited to invite everyone at SHS to the Sadie Hawkin's Dance which will be held February 9th from 8-10 pm in the Commons here at SHS. Tickets will be $10 a person and will go on sale the week of the dance.

Garden Club will meet Tuesdays after school in Ms. Wellers Room 517. Come get your hands dirty and learn a life long valuable skill. That’s Tuesdays in Room 517.
Congratulations to the boys basketball team on their 56 to 47 win over Dunlap in the Martin Luther King Jr. Shootout in Galesburg. Zaire Harris led the team in scoring with 14 points while Shane Miller added 13 points, Bennie Slater 13 points with 12 rebounds, and Nate Borders with 10 points. The team returns to action at home Friday night against Normal U-High.
The Lady Senator basketball team beat Champaign Centennial 58 to 14. SHS was led in scoring by Maya Fetter with 13 points and Sarah Byrd added 10. Next up for SHS is the City Tournament starting on Wednesday at SHG with SHS playing late every night.
