The baseball team made a great comeback from a 6 to nothing deficit, but ultimately fell short in a 6 to 5 loss to the Rockets of Rochester. Highlights included two hits apiece from Adam Passmore and Rico Johnson, with Johnson adding a double. Zach Richmond added a clutch 2 out, 2 strike, 2 run single to key the come from behind effort, but it wasn't enough to back up an outstanding relief effort by Aaron Evans who threw 2 and a third scoreless innings of relief. Next up for the 5 and 3 Solons is a doubleheader in Peoria Saturday against Notre Dame.

The softball team took Rochester to the final out in a great game last night at UIS, losing 3-2. Freshman Mallory Vespa pitched a great game and had two hits to lead the way offensively. Maddie Cleary, Claire Bess, Malia Bender and Skyler Wantland also contributed offensively with hits.

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Illinois (BGCCIL) in partnership with the City of Springfield and the Sangamon County Juvenile Justice Council, is hosting its 4th annual Teen Job Fair and Resource Expo.
