Come out on Friday and see your 2019 Varsity football team try and get some revenge on the MacArthur Generals. The Generals have edged the Senators the past 2 seasons by a total of 3 points and Friday night should be another great game. A large crowd for the home opener could be the difference this year. Kickoff is at 7pm at Memorial Stadium. Be a part of the states best student section and there will also be giveaways all season in the SHS staff section as well.

Congratulations to the varsity volleyball team for winning their opening day match over Decatur MacArthur 25-19 25-19. The team was lead in kills by Leah Harris & Brooke Thompson with 5 kills apiece.

Calling all SHS actors and actresses! Fall Play auditions are quickly approaching. Auditions for this year’s show, The Outsiders, will be held on September 16th in the SHS auditorium after school. The show will be November 22-24. Please prepare a 30 second monologue and be ready to possibly do a cold read. Make sure to sign up and pick up your audition form in the main office! If you have any questions, feel free to contact Breckyn Lyons, Katie George, or Elise Whitworth or one of our sponsors, Mrs. Eaton or Mrs. Gerdes.

The Boys soccer team opened the CS8 with a 10-0 victory over MacArthur. Great job Boys!

Would you please now rise for the Pledge of Allegiance!
