Thank you for supporting our cafeteria staff!
SHS - If you are trying out for the Overwatch, Fortnite, or League of Legends team next week, please stop by the library to grab a tryout sheet. You must pick this sheet up to be allowed to try out. Be A Senator is acknowledging all students who had no tardies and no referrals during the 1st quarter by giving them a free slice of Papa John’s pizza and a soda. Check the lists outside of Guidance to see if you qualified. If you are on the list, visit the annex during your lunch period Thursday for your reward. Thank you for Being A Senator!
Thanks to all the fans who came to watch City last night. While we didn’t win, there were some very good swims. Senior Ling Tubbs swam two personal bests - in the 50 free and in the 100 back. Emily Brower, Bailey High, and Maddie Sievers also swam best times in the 50 free. Soo-yun Pippin and Rhiannon Roberts swam best times in the 100 fly, while Bailey High again swam a best time in the 100 free. Our divers, Falyn Long and Linden Neposchlan both added more difficult to their lineups and were an asset to the team! Grace Anders and Kayleigh McMillan swam season bests in the 100 free and 100 back. And Sophomore Alexandra Bradley swam an all time best in the 100 breaststroke!
Congratulations to the volleyball team on their win in straight sets 26-24 25-12 against Jacksonville last night. The Senators were lead by Brooke Thompson with 7 kills & Sarah Becker with 19 digs. The Senators are now 20-12 for the season. Thanks to all who came out and supported us.

As Senator basketball season is approaching, we are seeking support via advertisements in our new 2019-20 Senators Basketball memento book we are introducing this year. This book will feature a page for each senior athlete, as well as opportunities for family and friends to purchase additional spaces to highlight their athlete (Freshman - Junior) this upcoming season. SHS students can purchase one and two-line “shoutouts” that will be placed throughout the book to encourage their favorite athletes. Shoutouts can be purchased by teachers and students for $3. Memento books will be sold for $10 each beginning at the first home game on December 5, 2019. Order forms will be placed in the office. Please attach your money along with the shoutout. The last day to purchase your shoutout will be November 15th. Please make checks payable to: SHS Boys Basketball program.
