In honor of upcoming Black History Month, SHS is sponsoring a writing contest titled “The Legacy of Martin Luther King, Jr.” The winning prize is $100. All essays are due to Mrs. Eaton by February 14th, 2020. There is no word minimum or limit, so submit an essay and win $100!!
Model UN will meet in room 354 at 3:30 p.m.
If you haven’t gotten your Lifetouch pictures, Ms. Moon still has a few left in her classroom. Please come by room 364 to pick them up!
Sign Language Club will meet after school Monday from 3:30-4:30 in room 362. All are welcome. See Mrs. Davis in room 363 or Terrance Cypress if you have any questions.
The next FCA meeting will be Tuesday from 6:00-7:15 pm in the Cafeteria. Pizza will be provided and we will be listening to a talk from retired SHS teacher and coach Bob Nesbit. If you have any questions, please stop and talk to Mr. Lightfoot in room 330.
Boys and Girls track practice begins on January 27th for all athletes not involved in a winter sport. If you plan on coming out for the track team, you MUST sign up with Coach Cotner (Boys) or Coach Hale(Girls) and get an informational sheet.

There will be a softball open gym this Sunday upstairs in the old gym from 1-2:30 pm.
The Lady Senator basketball team beat Southeast last night 67 to 54. SHS was led in scoring by Virtuous Komolafe with 26 points, Kenzey Decker added 22 and Chloe Byrd chipped in 15. Next up for SHS is a game Saturday at Normal U-High.
