Student Parking - Any junior or senior interested in a SHS parking space may sign up in the main office until end of the today. Names will be put in a lottery and drawn tomorrow. The cost will be $35. Remember that there is a limited number of spaces available.
Spirit Days for City Tournament: Tomorrow Solon plus (or white shirt); Friday- Samurai (or black shirt); Saturday- why so serious?? (Dress as wacky as possible if you’re a senior! Wear your red shirt if you’re an underclassmen). Everyone come out to every day of city and get wild! Bring home that spirit award!
City Tournament Tickets are on sale. If ticket are purchased at school the cost will be $5 each; if tickets are purchased at BOS Center the cost will be $6 each. Tickets will be on sale in the Main Office of SHS before school, after school or at lunch on the following dates and times: Today until 3:45 pm; tomorrow 8:00 am–12:30 pm for Thursday game only and 8:00 am–3:45 pm for Friday and Saturday’s game; Friday 8:00 am–12:30 pm. No tickets will be sold after 12:30 pm on Friday. Tickets must be paid for in cash.
In honor of upcoming Black History Month, SHS is sponsoring a writing contest titled “The Legacy of Martin Luther King, Jr.” The winning prize is $100. All essays are due to Mrs. Eaton by February 14th, 2020. There is no word minimum or limit, so submit an essay and win $100!!

Boys and Girls track practice begins on Monday for all athletes not involved in a winter sport. If you plan on coming out for the track team, you must sign up with Coach Cotner (Boys) or Coach Hale(Girls) and get an informational sheet.

The Southeast Wellness Team would like to invite everyone to visit our Wellness Table at this years city tournament. We will have both mental and physical health information along with pamphlets and guest speakers. We are really excited about this opportunity to shine light on the importance of mental and physical health. We look forward to seeing at this years city tournament Saturday, January 25th from 5:30-9:00.

The Lady Senator basketball team won a hard fought road win 56 to 53 last night against Normal West. SHS was led in scoring by Kenzey Decker with 26 points and Virtuous Komolafe added 16. Next up for SHS is a home game tomorrow against Decatur MacArthur.
All Academic challenge team members, there will be a meeting in room 510 tomorrow after school. See Mr. Covey if you can't make it.
Valentine's Day is quickly approaching and what better way to show that special someone you care by giving them a flower. Carnations will be sold before school and during both lunch shifts in the Commons. Cost is only $1.00. Flowers will be delivered on Friday, Feb 14 during 3rd hour.
