Good morning Springfield High! Today is September 17, 2020

The boys golf team competed in the city tournament yesterday.  The Senators lost the match to SHG with a score 332 to 312.  Peyton Woods shot a 74 to lead the senators.  Brian Becker followed with an 84.  Jake Baldin added an 86 and Reece Fullerton carded an 88. Peyton ended up becoming the City Champ after a playoff with SHG’s Miles Roland.  Peyton beat Miles in style with an EAGLE on the first hole to become the City Champ.

Hey SHS! The Scarlet Line is selling high quality Senator masks! Check out the picture on the SHS home page! If you’d like to purchase a mask for $10, email Mrs. Rogers at sarahr73@yahoo.com.

The SHS Girls Swimming and Diving team had 31 seasonal best times yesterday in a dual meet against SHG, particularly with Abby Ward dropping 20 seconds in her 100 back, Lauren Wilson dropping 9 seconds in her 100 breast, Mia Moreno dropping 6 seconds in her 100 free, and Americus Berg dropped 15 seconds in her 500 free! Unfortunately, we did not prevail.  However, these time improvements show the hard work being put in by each team member!
