Junior and Senior AP Students-Do you need or want a job? If so, we want to hire you as a tutor here at Springfield High School. You will need to be available Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday each week that school is in session. Strong Math & Science skills are a must. We are needing someone who has been successful in 1 or more AP classes. Applications can be picked up in the Guidance Office and will be accepted until Friday. Please contact Mr. Robinson for any questions.
The deadline to sign up and pay for an AP exam is this Friday! Each test is $94 and cash or checks can be dropped by the Guidance Office or a check can be mailed to the school Attn: AP. Checks should be made out to SHS. Please include the student name and which AP test(s) they want to take. Any questions? The PSAT/NMSQT is the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test. This test will be given at SHS and CDC guidelines will be followed, including maintaining social distancing and the wearing of masks. The due date to sign up is November 30th.The cost of this test is $18 and this fee must be paid in the Guidance Office by November 30th or your test will not be ordered! Checks or cash can be dropped off in the Guidance Office. Or, you can mail a check to SHS: Attn NMSQT. Please include a student name with the testing fee.
Yearbooks are ON SALE NOW for $70 through www.yearbookforever.com until December 1 when they go up to $75. And don't be concerned about coverage. Our staff is EVERYWHERE covering what all our SHS students are doing inside and outside of school! If you, your child, your friends are doing anything cool that you think should belong in the yearbook, PLEASE LET US KNOW! We love "outside-the-box"!!! The SHS Booster Club is hosting an online trivia night on Friday, November 13th! Students, friends, and families can form teams to play and have some remote fun! Click on the banner on the SHS web site for more information.
Come connect with other SHS students and share common experiences by attending a weekly Support Group. Students, less than half of you have completed our online SAEBRS survey. All students are required to complete this so please locate an email from Principal Leardi dated October 12th. Here you will find the link to the Survey along with your username and password. A follow-up email will be sent soon to those who have not completed the survey. Congrats to the 146 students who had perfect attendance 1st Quarter! We entered your names into a drawing to receive a gift card and here are the winners: 9th grade- Asianna Benson, 10th Grade- Donovan McBride, 11th Grade- Kevin Zheng, 12th Grade- Bethany Rector. Attendance is key to success with remote learning so please attend all Zooms and log in on non-Zoom days. During 2nd Quarter, BAS will be doing weekly attendance checks and if you had perfect attendance for the week you will be entered into a drawing for a prize. Thank you for Being A Senator!
