After School Tutoring is available from 3:30-4:30 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays.   Students can access tutoring by clicking on the Academic Center located in Canvas.

Students, if you would like to connect with your peers and share common experiences, please attend one of our Support Groups. They will be offered again this semester on Monday afternoons. Please visit SHS Student Support on Canvas to sign up or click on the link on the SHS home page. 

Seniors - sign up to apply for a Country Financial scholarship! You can sign up for many others at www.cfll.org - check it out and contact Mr. Kramer or Mrs. Lauer if you have any questions.

It’s time to redecorate the glass cases outside the main office  - do you have a collection or items to display? Do you have models, Legos, Star Wars, books, sports collections, toys, whatever - Let Leardi know if you have an idea!

The Mu Delta Lambda Charitable foundation and Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity have a scholarship available for graduating seniors who will attend a two or four year university next year. Applicants are recommended to have a 2.75 GPA or higher and must submit two letters of recommendation and a one page essay answering the prompt “Discuss an event in your life that you had to overcome to become successful? Application and essay are due by May 1st. Anyone interested, contact Mr. Kramer or Mrs. Lauer.

Any student interested in planning or participating in the SHS celebration of Black History month, please reach out to Mr. Kramer (bkramer@sps186.org) or Mrs. Barrett-Patton (cbarrett@sps186.org).This year's celebration will be virtually presented and will need lots of input and support from our own SHS students! Reach out if interested!

Be sure to order your yearbook or personal ads at yearbook forever.com.  Yearbook staff still needs some pics of our students outdoors.  If you are more an indoor person, we are now looking for pics of our gamers! The Illinois Association for College Admission Counseling is hosting a virtual college fair on Monday, February 15th from 5:00-7:45 pm.  Juniors and Seniors that are interested should attend.  There will be a link on your Junior and Senior Canvas page.

Students, please remember to mark your attendance on the intranet on all of your asynchronous days.  Even if you have a zoom with teachers on those days, you must mark your own attendance!
