JUNIORS AND SENIORS: THE FOLLOWING COLLEGES AND UNIVERSITIES WILL HAVE REPRESENTATIVES HERE TO SPEAK WITH YOU ABOUT THEIR SCHOOLS:
Today Southern IL University - Carbondale - 8:30 a.m.
Oct. 20 St. Ambrose - 9:30 a.m.
Oct. 25 Culver Stockton 8:30, North Central 12:45, Midwest Technical Institute Lunch
Oct. 26 Vanderbilt 9:30, Midwest College of Cosmetology Lunch
Oct. 27 Northwest Missouri State Lunch
You must get a pass from Mrs. Povse or from the Guidance Office to be excused to hear these reps. Passes are not required for the LUNCH visits which take place in the Commons. A complete list of the representative visits is posted in the glass case outside of Guidance as well as on the school website under the GUIDANCE link.

The Book Fair is here in the library this week! Be sure to stop by and check out the great selection. The Book fair will also be open during Parent/Teacher Conference times.

The bus for the trip to SIU-Carbondale is full. If you turned in a permission slip and have not received an instruction sheet from Mrs. Povse, please stop by her office today to get one. The bus will leave at 7:00A.M. on Wednesday.

SENIORS: Any senior who plans to apply at Notre Dame should see Mrs. Povse about a scholarship opportunity. You must apply via Early Action to Notre Dame by Nov. 1 to be considered for the Hesburgh-Yusko scholarship.

Seniors interested in applying to Eastern Illinois University for Free:
On November 17 an admissions representative from EIU will be here to conduct a live admissions program. Have your application, essay, transcript, (and letters of recommendation if needed) and your application will be processed on the spot FOR FREE. No application fee! You will be notified of your acceptance that day. See Mrs. Povse for additional details.

Attention all JSA members: those who plan on attending Fall State - your permission slips and money are due tomorrow.

SHS Idol auditions will be held in the choir room tomorrow starting right after school. If you have any questions please contact Ms. Elmore in the choir room. SHS Idol will take place on November 15 at 7 PM in the auditorium.

Permission slips for Spanish Club’s wiener roast are available from the Spanish teachers and are due by 3:30 tomorrow

The Class of 2014 will be selling delicious Papa John's Breadsticks this Thursday! Three breadsticks and sauce will be sold for a low price of $2.00. A limited amount of breadsticks and sauce will be available this Thursday on both lunch shifts, so get there as soon as possible!

Attention Seniors: You must have your senior picture for the yearbook taken with Class Act by December 20th. If you do not, then your portrait will not appear in this year’s yearbook. This Wednesday and November 30th Class Act will be at the school for photo opportunities. Sign up outside of the main office and bring a $15 sitting fee on the day of your session.

SITE Club is meeting after school on Thursday the 20th. Come to talk about robot kits.

Chess Club: Don't forget we're meeting in room 370 today from 3:30 - 4:30.

Hey hey JSA! We will be having a thought talk tomorrow in room 330. We will be discussing occupy Wall Street and the worldwide protests that have been associated with it. Also for all those who are attending Fall state your forms and money are due! Come for food and fun, and being your friends!

Attention Seniors! We will be selling t-shirts at lunch in the commons today and tomorrow. $12 for short sleeves, $15 for long sleeves. Support and show pride for your class! You know you want to buy …..12!
