An area Eagle Scout candidate is running a service project for the St. John’s Children’s Hospital and the Memorial Medical Center’s pediatric unit. Your donations of video games and DVDs will be used to improve the entertainment options available to the children receiving care at the hospital. The donation box is located in the Main Office. FREE T-SHIRTS FOR BLOOD DONORS!! Staff & Students 16 or older can donate blood to the Central Illinois Community Blood Center on Tue., Jan. 24, from 8:30am-2:30pm. Students aged 16 must have a signed parental consent form. You must sign up during lunch, before school, or after school in the Guidance Office by 3:30 pm on Monday, Jan. 23. Teachers & Staff do not need to sign up, you can report to the auditorium at your convenience. Please donate. Mrs. Fisher, in the Main Office, is LIVING Proof that blood donations SAVE LIVES! The Class of 2014 will be selling delicious Papa John's Breadsticks today! Three breadsticks and sauce will be sold for a low price of $2.00. A limited amount of breadsticks and sauce will be available today on both lunch shifts, so get there as soon as possible!

Boy’s Track & Field practice officially begins on Tuesday, January 17th. Please see Coach Cotner after school this week to pick up a practice schedule if you plan on coming out for Track & Field.
Auditions for the SHS Spring Musical, “Thoroughly Modern Millie” will be held on Monday, January 23rd in the SHS Auditorium. Registration will begin at 4:30 pm and Dance/Vocal Auditions will follow promptly at 5:00 pm and will continue until all interested students have auditioned. Callbacks will be held Tuesday, January 24th in the Auditorium. Times to be announced. Audition music cuts are now available from Mrs. Elmore in the SHS Choir Room. This is a FUN musical with lots of great roles! All SHS students are encouraged to audition … we want to make sure that SHS is once again voted BEST HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL for 2012.
