Purdue University Women in Engineering program invites junior girls to a free daylong engineering series, April 16, with an optional reception and tour on Sunday, April 15. Register before April 6 at www.purdue.edu/WIEP

Heartland Credit Union is offering 2 $1000 scholarships to members who are entering a full-time 2 or 4yr. college, vocational or technical program. Essay. Apply at www.huc.org Deadline is April 27.

Get your permission slip in Guidance or from Mrs. Povse for the last college trip of the year to Southern Illinois University, Edwardsville, Thursday, March 15. Slips are DUE Tuesday, March 13. As of today there are only 6 grade qualified students with permission slips for the SIU Edwardsville trip. Permission slips need to be turned in no later than Tuesday or the trip will be cancelled.

Senior men going to the U of I: Psi Upsilon fraternity is offering $3000 in scholarship money. See Mrs. Povse for the website.

All seniors: As you receive scholarships or merit awards from private sources, colleges and universities please inform Mrs. Povse so she can post them on the scholarship board.

SENIORS APPLYING FOR THE MCCOURTNEY SCHOLARSHIP: this scholarship application requires a page from Mrs. Povse. As you complete the scholarship please give it to her to process the transcript and the data verification. All Mc Courtney scholarships are due to Mrs. Povse by Tuesday, March 27. She will ensure that they meet the postmark deadline.

Booster Club Trivia Night Friday is cancelled due to lack of participation.

Students interested in taking AP Exams need to come to the Guidance Office to sign up. Each exam is $87. Please bring cash or check when signing up.

Read for a Lifetime participants please turn in your list of titles by the end of the day today to Mrs. Dahmane. If you did not receive a form see Mrs. Dahmane in the library right away.

Juniors interested in being in the work program next year must turn in an application. You can pick one up outside Mrs. Devlin’s office room 121. Turn apps into Mrs. Devlin’s mailbox in the main office. Students interested in applying for an Illinois Department of Transportation Office job must turn their application in asap. Deadline for IDOT jobs is approaching quickly.

Sophomores! You will order your class rings on Tuesday & Wednesday, March 13th & 14th. Jostens will be in the commons to measure and take your orders - during lunch. Please bring completed forms and $65 deposit. Juniors still wishing to order class rings may pick up ring design kits in Guidance or the Main office.

Student Council needs 15 student volunteers to work at the Senior Citizen Dinner on Wednesday, March 21st. Volunteers will serve food from 4:30 - 7, and will receive complimentary dinner. Volunteers can also earn NHS hours. To sign up, contact Miss Maloney in room 124.

There will be a "Do Something" Club Meeting on Monday, March 12, 7pm in room 150. If you have any questions, please see Mr. Williams.

Happy National Foreign Language week everyone! To celebrate the Spanish Language, we will read today’s Pledge in Spanish after the English version.
