SENIORS, I SAID HEY, SENIORS: THIS IS A MESSAGE FROM MRS. POVSE. I read in yesterday's paper that a certain local school's seniors have $9million in scholarships offers with 98% of seniors going on to college in 50 different schools in 18 states. Well, I know that as of Thursday you had reported $7.6 million in scholarship offers. Some of you are forgetting to tell me of scholarships that schools have offered you. Not just the schools that you are going to, but all the others that you have turned down. The same goes for you athletes who had multiple offers. There is not a lot of time. I need this information. As of today approximately 84% of our seniors will attend college or tech school in over 65 different schools in 16 states. 4% of the class will be serving in the military and we will have students employed at SPARC, UNITED CEREBRAL PALSY, GOODWILL INDUSTRIES OF SPRINGFIELD, and various State of Illinois offices.
We absolutely must celebrate the successes of the class of 2012. Congratulations to you and your teachers and mentors for bringing these kind of statistics in a PUBLIC school!!!!
ONE MORE FOR THE SENIORS: Get your final transcript envelope to Mrs. Krekel this week.
Keys on a black & blue lanyard were found on the corner of New & Monroe Streets this AM. They can be identified and claimed at the Springfield Police Station downtown.
