Juniors and undecided seniors: Western Illinois University has outstanding programs in sports broadcasting, construction management, forensic chemistry, emergency management, law enforcement and justice administration, meteorology, musical theater and supply chain management. If you are interested in these programs get a permission slip in Guidance or from Mrs. Povse for the WIU trip on December 6. Permission slips are due today.
SENIORS: The Susan Cook House Student of the Year application is due today! Please return applications, short essay and picture to Ms. Maloney in room 124.
REMINDER TO STUDENTS AND PARENTS: The first Financial Aid presentation of the year will be held next Wednesday, Nov. 28 at 6:30 in the Commons. Caitlin McLaughlin from the Illinois Student Assistance Commission will be our presenter.

The 2nd annual Holiday Spirit Wear sale will be Saturday, December 8th from 9:00-noon in the annex at SHS. The latest spirit wear styles and novelties will be available to purchase along with discounted spirit wear from previous years. Free gift wrapping will also be offered. Showchoir is selling Texas Roadhouse Gift cards from now until November 27th in increments of $15 $25 or $50. Money will be due at the time of ordering, and you will get the cards in the 1st week of December. Please make checks payable to SHS-showchoir. 10% of total sales will be donated to the showchoir.
Showchoir is looking for more performers (GUYS and girls) to join the showchoir in time for competition season. We meet on Monday and Thursday nights from 6-8pm in the choir room. This year the showchoir will be competing against other top showchoirs in the State as well as the Midwest. If you are wanting to become a famous, actor, singer/dancer or even a music arranger this is where it start! If you are interested in joining the group or would like more information, please come to their next rehearsal on Monday November 26th and meet the director. Fun fact: Ashton Kutcher, Blake Lively, Ty Diggs, Lance Bass (of N*sync), Jason Mraz, Heather Headley, Gavin Creel, Anne Hathaway, Kirstin Chenoweth, Idina Menzel, and P!NK have ALL been in a showchoir at their high schools.
