Who Am I? Born in 1942, I later became a longtime educator in District 186. My career in Springfield began in 1969 when I became a teacher at Jefferson Middle School, but I have also worked as both a teacher and administrator at many other middle schools and high schools in the district. In 1994, I became the first African American principal of a Springfield high school.
