JUNIORS AND SENIORS: If you are interested in getting a military scholarship, Sgt. Robinson from the Marines will be making a presentation on the Naval R.O.T.C. scholarship process on Wednesday, Nov. 6 at 12:40 in room 109. Please get a pass from Guidance or Mrs. Povse to attend.
Any African American student in grades 9-11 who is interested in a career in teaching is asked to complete a survey from the National Alliance of Black School Educators. Please stop by the guidance office to pick up the survey which is due November 4.
It. Is. On. ... SHS Dodgeball Tournament! Who will win the trophies, cash and bragging rights? Start forming your team of 6-8 now for the Wednesday, November 13th Tourney in the gym at 7pm. Turn your team registration form in to the school office, with $30 and signed waivers for anyone under 18. Forms and waivers are attached on the SHS website, and are also in the school office. Registration will also be held next week in the Commons. Sign up in advance and save money! May the best team win!

Due to supply and demand, we will only accept 5 SHLotto cards per day per student and only one of those can be a Monthly Special. Thank you for your understanding. If you don't want to redeem them for what is under the scratch-off sticker, make sure your name and teacher's name are on the card and put them in grade appropriate can to be in the drawing for $25. Volleyball plays Roxanna Tonight at 6:00 in Mattoon for the first match of Sectionals.
This Friday “The Foreigner” opens at 7:30 in the auditorium and is being directed by SHS senior Austin Vincent with Janna Schorfheide, assistant director and Brad Schoppenhorst, lighting designer. The show, known for its humor, is sure to have some side-splitting moments. Saturday’s performance is at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday’s is at 2 p.m. Tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for students and senior citizens can be purchased by calling 525-3100 or at the door. All seating is general admission. A bonus for the Friday night crowd, the unveiling for the Spring Musical will be announced by its director, Craig Williams.
