Juniors and seniors eligible to apply for NHS this year are posted outside of the main office, 326 and 356. Please check the list and let Mr. Kramer in room 326 know if you intend to apply or not. Applications can be picked up in room 326 and are due by 3:30 P.M. on Friday, February 12.

Panther Creek Country Club is looking for lifeguards and swim coaches for the summer of 2016. The Speech & Acting Team Competed at Regionals this Saturday at Glenwood High School and placed 5th overall. The following students advanced to Sectionals next week at Belleville West: Rebecca Hassebrock & Tom Duerr placed 4th in Dramatic Duet Acting; Rebecca also placed 4th in Radio Speaking; Kiki Frost placed 3rd in Dramatic Interpretation and 4th in Prose Speaking; Charlie Yockey tied for 2nd place in Extemperaneous Speaking; Anna Flinn placed 3rd in Impromptu Speaking and 4th in Original Oratory and Jacob Robinson placed 4th in Oratorical Declamation. Congratulations to the entire team for representing Springfield High so well. There is a team meeting directly after school today.
Juniors and Seniors- Webster University will be visiting SHS on TUESDAY FEBRUARY 9 at 1:35. Please see Mr. Kyes or the Guidance office for a pass.
The Lady Senator basketball team broke open a close game at halftime and beat Jacksonville 77 to 42. SHS was led in scoring by Kyra Webster with 22 points, Montshianna Pulliam added 14 and Ellie Brandt chipped in 10. Next up is a home game tomorrow night against SHG.
Congratulations to the Springfield High school "IN Session" showchoir for being named Best Tech Crew, Best showchoir Combo, Best Female soloist (Brianna Gude-Price), Best Vocal Sound and Grand Champion in the small group division at the 20th annual Danville Midwest Classic show choir competition! Heck of a way to start off the competition season!
