You need a pass to meet with representatives. Please get your pass from Mrs. Povse in the Guidance Office. This is a great opportunity to get information about the colleges in a small group setting where you can get your questions answered.

Fall Play auditions for ‘Flowers for Algernon’ directed by Conor O’Brien and Nick Throop, will be today directly after school in the choir room.

The senior panoramic picture has been rescheduled for Friday, Oct. 9 (toga day) at 8:40 A.M.

Applications and informational packets are now available in the Guidance Office for the Youth Leadership Saturday Academy and the Illinois Department of Transportation Engineering Saturday Academy. All applications are due, to your guidance dean by Friday, October 9th! Don't miss out on this career exploration event!

This year’s Homecoming tickets will be on sale in the commons on both lunch shifts starting today through Spirit Week. Couples tickets are $15 and Single tickets are $10. You must present your SHS student ID in order to buy a ticket. Hurry and get them now, because all tickets will be $15 per person at the door. Don’t forget, homecoming is on Saturday October 10th, just a few weeks away!

Hey Springfield High! Homecoming is less than 2 weeks away which means it’s almost time to pick your homecoming King and Queen. The entire school can vote today at lunch for whom they think deserves the crown.

PIZZA, PIZZA, PIZZA, TODAY, TODAY, TODAY! Be a Senator will be selling Papa John's Pizza today during both lunch shifts in the Commons for $2 per slice. We will have sausage, pepperoni, and cheese available. Students may buy a whole pizza for $15. Bring your money and support Be a Senator!

The environmental club will be meeting in Ms. Vander Leest's room Today after school. Everyone is welcome.

The Scarlet Line will host is first annual garage sale this Saturday in the commons. Come out October 3 from 9 AM – 1 PM to support your pommers. price after noon.

Seniors, the class of Dub 10 is looking for volunteers to decorate its hallway this upcoming Monday after school. If you are interested start a convo with one of the class officers.

Time to sign up for the Read for the Lifetime program. All readers will want to know about this fun and rewarding program. See Mrs. Dahmane in the library for details.

The Career Fair will be on Wednesday, October 7, in the Orr Building at the Fairgrounds. The building will open at 12:30. Juniors & Seniors need to pick up a permission slip in the Guidance office and return the slip by Tuesday, October 6th.

The girls golf team placed 2nd yesterday during the CS-8 match at the Lincoln Elks golf course. The ladies shot their lowest team score of the year with a 375 with all four girls shooting in the 90’s for the first time this year. Leading the way was Andrea Ribelin, with a 90, 5h as an individual. Next, Kasey Moore, 93 placing 8th as in individual, and Becca Ramirez also with a 93 placing 10th as an individual. Rachel Scheffler carded a 99 with the 4th team score. Congrats ladies!
