The 2016-2017 Capitoline Yearbook is now on sale at $60 a copy; in January, the cost will be $70 a copy.

French Club will be having its “Back-to School Pizza Party” Thursday, Sept. 15th after school. We will meet on the front lawn until 4:15. Make sure to bring a drink. You will need to have joined French Club to attend. See Madame Boltz in Room 268 for more info.
Freshmen students who are interested in participating in the P4 physician preparatory pipeline program can pick up the application in the guidance office. The application deadline is October 5.

Student Council will be selling White Out shirts by order form today during both lunch shifts. There are multiple options for shirts including dry-fit and Nike. You only have a week left to purchase shirts to help SHS White Out Cancer at the September 30th game against Lanphier.
The first Senior activity is here! The Class of 2017 Senior Panoramic Photo will be taken Friday, Sept. 16 at 8:00 a.m. on the front lawn. A CACC bus will held for the seniors and zero hour teachers have been asked to let seniors leave class early, Photos may be purchase on Monday, 9/19 and Tuesday, 9/20 during both lunch shifts in the commons. Prices are: $25 for a large panoramic, $35 for a large panoramic and a medium panoramic, and $45 for large laminated panoramic, a medium panoramic and a medium ’17 formation photo. Checks should be made payable to the “Goldbrick Company”.
Congratulations to the Girls Swimming and Diving Team for their victory at the Capital City Invite this past weekend, 1st place out of 11 teams. In the varsity diving Katie Bilinsky took 1st and Stephanie Bilinsky took 2nd Caitlin Tierney placed 1st in the 200 Free and 100 Free, Jenna Milward placed 1st in the 50 Butterfly and 50 Backstroke, Haley Rivera took 2nd in the 200 IM and 100 breastroke, Alli Wilkey took 1st and Hannah Rivera took 2nd in the 50 Free, Camryn Milling placed 1st in the 100 Butterfly, Peri Ehmen placed 3rd in the 500 Free. SHS also swept all 3 relays, Great job ladies!
The Cross Country team computed in the Lanphier Invite on Saturday. The varsity girls team finished 4th out of 13 teams. Ella Kurmann was top finisher for SHS. In the girls JV race, Abbie Norris was the top finisher for SHS. The varsity boys team finished 3rd out of 13 teams. Jackson Esela was top finisher for SHS. The Freshmen boys team finished 1st, Kyle Boughter, Isaac Becker and Sam Forness went 1st, 2nd, & 3rd in the race. In the boys JV race, Cameron Van Metre was the top finisher for SHS.
The Varsity football team got back on the winning track on Friday by picking up its 2nd road win of the season defeating Decatur MacArthur 34-13. Special Teams Player of the Game was Cam Jones, Offense was Caleb Small, Defense was Jacquez Stewart, and the overall Player of the Game was Peyton West with a TD and fumble recovery. The team takes on cross town rival Southeast this Friday at Southeast. There are only 5 days left to order White Out shirts for the Lanphier game on the 30th. Student Council will be out selling at lunch this Wednesday and Friday.
