The baseball team played better than the score would indicate, as Glenwood knocked off the Senators by a 9 to 1 count. Ethan Doyle was the star of the game, as he pitched 5 and two thirds innings allowing only 3 runs. The only SHS hits were by Jimmy Hollahan, who drove in the team’s only run, as well as a Will Reiser single. Others had some great at bats, including Adam Passmore who put the ball in play all 3 times and was robbed of a hard hit ball. The Solons are next in action this afternoon in Chatham at 4:30.
The Lady Senator softball team dropped a pair to Glenwood last night to finish the regular season with a record of 17-13. Leading the team with hits last night was Jaden Long and Lauren Cozadd with a hit apiece. Next up for the team is the 4A Regionals in Alton.
