Any student who has NO referrals and NO tardies for 4th Quarter will be invited during lunch to go outside and enjoy a free lunch! We want to celebrate students for behaving like SENATORS!! Your invitation will be sent to you this Thursday!!! Thanks for Being a Senator!!
Seniors if you have not turned in the green exit survey to Mr Kramer please do so ASAP. Be sure to include any scholarships you received on the back, even from schools you will not be attending. Also be sure to do a little pennant for the map and Mr Kramer will get one up on your locker.

The baseball team broke back into the win column with a 5 to 2 victory over Taylorville Friday on Senior Night. The stars came out to shine in many ways, as Rico Johnson led the way on the mound with a great pitching performance throwing 5 and two thirds innings striking out 9. Noah Turley worked out of a bases loaded jam and Zach Richmond closed the door in the 7th with a strikeout to end the game. Jacks Hyde paced the offense with 2 hits, 3 stolen bases, and 2 RBI's. Aaron Evans also added 2 hits and Andy Leamon contributed a big hit and another hard hit ball. Next up is a 4:30 contest today against Mt. Pulaski at Lanphier Park.
The SHS boys track and field team won their 5th central state eight title on Friday at southeast. Event champions for SHS were: Matthew Abe-Bell in the 400; Robert Williams in the 110 Hurdles, and 300 hurdles; the 4x100 relay team of Qa’Ron Hawkins, Matthew Abe-Bell, Steven Boucher and Robert Williams; and the 4x400 relay team of Matthew Abe-Bell, Ryan Waldinger, Will Formea and Robert Williams. Great performances from the entire team! The boys next compete in the 3A sectional meet on Thursday at Bloomington High School.
The Senator Softball team swept Granite City Friday night. In the first game, a come from behind 14-9 win, Malia Bender and Skyler Wantland led the way with 3 and 4 hits apiece. Hunter Lee also had multiple hits in the game. In Game 2, Kira Brown led the way going 5 for 5 while Mallory Vespa shut down the Warriors pitching 5 innings allowing 2 hits and striking out 5. Tomorrow is our Senior Night as the girls will play Jacksonville at 4:30 PM. Senior Day festivities will begin at 4:15. Come out and support our 4 seniors as they wrap up the last week of the regular season.
Any student that is NOT currently in choir this year but would like to be in choir next year, auditions will be on Thursday right after school. Individual auditions will last approximately 5 minutes each and you are free to leave afterwards. Come sign up outside the choir room door or see Mrs. Pinter with any questions!
