There are three ways to access the SHS athletic schedules and information.  On the SHS page located on the right hand side there is a blurb titled Athletic Schedules and Information click on this and it will take your there; you may also go to the athletic page and click on the sentence titled Athletic Schedules and Information; or your may go the following link  https://springfieldhighschoolil.bigteams.com

If you are thinking about taking the October Saturday SAT, and you might be eligible for a fee waiver, please sign up ASAP with Mr. Kramer.

Your 2019-2020 yearbooks are on sale now!  Go to yearbookforever.com to purchase one!  Do so now as prices will increase throughout the semester!  Past yearbooks are still for sale in Moon’s room, 364. 

SENIORS!!! VERY IMPORTANT! LISTEN UP! Only 75 of you have signed up to have your pictures taken by Kari Bedford Photography. If you would like a unique senior photo in the yearbook, book your session now at www.schoolhousepics.com.  There is a link on the SHS website, posters around the school, and an SHS yearbook Facebook page for your parents.

Feminist club! Great turn out last week, but we would love to see more of your faces! Our next meeting is Thursday right after school until around 4!  Bring yourself and bring a friend! 

Fellowship of Christian Athletes will have its first meeting today from 6:00-7:00 pm in the cafeteria. Kevin Elliot, the director of FCA in the state of Illinois, will be our guest speaker. There will also be pizza and a discussion of activities for the upcoming year. If you have any questions, please talk to Mr. Lightfoot in room 330.

D&D Club will meet Thursday from 3:30-5:00.  Please see Mr. Havener for questions.

Love board games, word games, or just want to hang out GSA will be hosting a student game event Thursday after school in room 366. All are welcome.

The girls volleyball team beat Lanphier 25-8 25-13 in the first game of the City Tournament last night. 

The boys soccer team defeated Pleasant Plains 4-1 last night. Ben Huston, Wolf Brethorst and Laith Abdullh scored for the Senators. Collin Taylor shut Plains out for 50 minutes before exiting the game.

The JV girls golf team finally had their first match of the season last night at Pasfield.  The team was lead by freshman Megan Hoffman who carded a 42 to earn medalist honors in route to a 5 stroke victory over Rochester.  Other highlights included a chip in by sophomore Devin Dooley on number 3, a solid effort by sophomore Kailey Elliott, and sophomore Cameron Duval and freshman Tally Martin competing well in their first ever high school match.  Nice job ladies.
