Good morning Springfield High! Today is March 3, 2020

 

 

 

Mrs. Lauer is taking a group of juniors and seniors interested in Law Enforcement on a field trip to the United States Attorney’s Office of Central Illinois the date has been changed it is now on March 12th. The “BLAST; Building Lasting Relationships Between Police and Community” will be from 1st through 5th hour with lunch provided. Students will meet local and federal law enforcement officers, participate demonstrations and simulations, learn about careers in the criminal justice system, etc. You must be passing all classes to attend Any questions, or if you’d like a permission slip, see Mrs. Lauer in guidance.

 

Happy National Foreign Language Week Everyone! The International Dinner is tomorrow night—please don’t forget to touch bases with your language teacher or club sponsor.  For today’s fun fact:  Did you know that French is one of the only languages spoken on all continents?! And that it is the 2nd most taught foreign language in the world.  Oui Oui!!”

Congratulations on the Scholastic Bowl’s 5th pace finish at the NAQT state tournament. Great job, keep up the energy.

 

 

Congratulations to the Springfield High school IN Session show choir for receiving 1st Runner-up in the Prep Division at the Sullivan Singers Invitational. The show choir also received 1st place in the Prep Division for Best (band) combo.

 

Boys Tennis will have a mandatory team meeting today, starting at 4:30 in the Old Gym. Anyone interested in joining the team this season should plan to attend.

 

Attention JUNIORS and SENIORS- If you are interested in serving as a poll worker for the upcoming March 17th Primary Election. Students must meet certain criteria to be eligible. Please see Mr. Kyes in the guidance office for an application and information. Students who are accepted will be paid $200.
