Well, they didn’t win, but again, the SHS Girls swimming and diving team were great in a triangular meet at Eisenhower Thursday afternoon. Not having relays has been detrimental to our ability to win since they score twice as many points. However, there were some PRs and nice time drops: Americus Berg and Molly Tolsdorf battled in the 200 and 500 frees, with both going right at PRs or near! Allison Tohme dropped 11 seconds in her 100 free, Elizabeth Sievers dropped 4 in the 100 free, after a great swim in the 200 IM. Sarah Cavanagh swam a PR in the 100 free as well! Maddie Sievers swam a PR in the 100 back. Lauren Wilson dropped 7 seconds in the 100 breast to swim a PR and Isabella Cavanagh swam an all time best in the 100 breast as well. To cap things off, Falyn Long and Linden Neposchlan were stellar in diving!
The boys golf team finished 4th in the CS8 conference tournament yesterday with a score of 324. Peyton Woods lead the senators with an even par 72 and taking 2nd overall for an all conference bid. Joseph Crum and Jake Baldin added 83’s missing all conference by 2 strokes while Brian Becker added an 86. The boys travel to Lincoln for regionals on Tuesday.
And now the Pledge of Allegiance!
I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible with liberty and justice for all.
