Achtung, Achtung, German Club! Sign-ups are open for our first event of the year! On May 15th, we'll be meeting at Washington Park for an Amazing Race-style event with challenges, puzzles, clues... and, of course, a prize! Ask Frau Huffman or any of your friends in German for the sign-up link. Everyone is welcome, and entry is free!   Social distancing and mask rules will be enforced.

The baseball team had a good weekend winning all 3 of their games by defeating Jacksonville on Friday by a 5-1 score and winning both ends of a Saturday doubleheader over Williamsville 6 to nothing and 8 to 6. Joseph Crum threw a gem on Friday and Adam Passmore did the same in the opener on Saturday with both allowing only one hit thru 6 innings. Kaleb Rogers, Ryne Crum, and Luke Flesner all did their parts on the mound to secure the 3rd game, with Crum joining his brother with his first win on the mound for the year. Hitting stars for the 3 games were Dalen Banks with 4 hits including a double and a triple good for 3 RBI’s, and Ben Hartl with 4 hits, a double, and a long home run. Flesner also added an inside the park home run. Next up is a CS8 contest against Jacksonville at their place tomorrow at 4:30.

And now the Pledge of Allegiance!

I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible with liberty and justice for all.
