The Senator softball team dropped a tough one to SHG last night, 6 to 4. Malia Bender led the way at the plate going 3 for 4 with 2 doubles while Mallory Vespa homered in the 7th inning to bring in two runs. Alaina Elberson went 2 for 3 to help lead the way as well.

The girls soccer lost a hard fought game to SHG 2-1 last night. Sophia Beem scored on an assist from Clare Grossen.

The Springfield High School Boys Tennis Team lost a closely contested meet against Normal Community High School, 2-7. While several of the matches were decided in tiebreaks, Noah Williams won at singles and the team of Noah Williams/David Lu were victorious at doubles. In Junior Varsity action, Sam Kuforiji won at singles while the tandems of Sam Yoder/Kai Brudnak and JT First/Tyke Espejo won in doubles.  The Junior Varsity also participated in a dual meet with Chatham-Glenwood, with Elliott Fifer and Burce Beem winning in singles. The doubles teams of Will Leamon/Will Sandstrom, Leo Sommers/WIll Hovey and Conrad Martin/Matthew Scott also claimed victories.
Everyone faced tough competition and played well.

And now the Pledge of Allegiance!

I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible with liberty and justice for all.
