We encourage all of our students to cheer on their classmates in an appropriate manner in all of our athletic contests. In order to help reduce the cost of attending the events, we will be selling Student Activity Passes for $30. These passes are good for all SHS home events excepts tournaments and post-season play. These passes are sold only before school and after school in the main office, room 204.
Lunch time tutoring is available in room 120 during your lunch shift.

All freshmen interested in applying for the P4 physician preparatory pipeline program must complete an on-line application by September 17. The application is on the district website www.sps186.org. The P4 program is a district partnership with the SIU school of medicine that introduces freshmen to careers in the field of medicine.

Well, the Executive Sound Showchoir Band wants You! We are looking to fill spots for the Award-Winning showchoir band the accompany the Award-Winning Showchoir here at SHS! We rehearse every Tuesday night from 6 pm until 7 pm and our first rehearsal is this Tuesday, September 14th. So if you are interested come sit in and play some of our custom arrangements with us! This is a fun and relaxing group. We are looking to help expand your musical knowledge! All are welcome, but we are in need of Trumpets, Alto & Tenor Saxophones, guitar and keyboard/Synthesizer players. Must be able to sight read.

The deadline to sign up for the PSAT/NMSQT is today This is only for 11th graders who want to qualify for the National Merit Scholarship. 9th and 10th graders may sign up, but the score will not count for the Scholarship. The cost of the test is $18 and you must sign up in Guidance.

The boys golf team struggled last night in the wind at Piper Glen. They defeated Glenwood but lost to SHG. Peyton Woods led the way with a 39. Jake Baldin carded a 41. Julian Valenti added a 45 and Bryce Pound a 46. They face Jacksonville after school today.

Congrats to the 20-21 yearbook staff whose yearbook won the Walsworth Gallery of Excellence award!! A select group of yearbooks are inducted each year and are showcased at workshops, regional, state and national conventions, as well as on the Walsworth Website! Congrats on an amazing job!!!!
The boys golf team improved to 3-1 with a win over Jacksonville last night. Peyton Woods led the way with a 38. Making his varsity debut Max Gebhardt added a 39. Jake Baldin, Julian Valenti, and Reece Fullerton all carded 40s. Today the team travels to Mattoon for a two day tournament at Meadowview and Mattoon Country Club.
The varsity soccer team battled to 3-3 tie with Quincy Notre Dame last night. Kai Brudnak scored twice and Cooper Kowalewski added 1 for the Senators. The JV soccer team remained undefeated with an 1-0 victory. No practice tonight great job.
