Good morning Springfield High! Today is January 10, 2022

Current 8th Graders and their parents are invited to Preview Night this Thursday, January 13th at 6:00 p.m. in the SHS Schnirring Auditorium. This is the night to see the school, meet staff, and learn about classes for freshmen year! See you Thursday!

Get ready for some TRIVIA! The Booster Club is hosting a Trivia Night on Saturday, January 29, from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. in the Commons. Teams of 6 need a captain to go to:  www.shstrivia.com  Then click Team Registration at the top! Get your friends and family together for a night of fun at SHS!

There will be an open gym Wednesday from 7:00-8:30pm for any girl interested in softball. For questions, see Coach Koger.

Congratulations to the SHS Scholastic Bowl team on its first place win in the Macomb Rotary Tournament Sat. There will be a Poetry Out Loud nformational meeting after school Thursday in room 366. If you can’t make this, check in with Mrs. Eaton for info.  There will be a GSA meeting Friday after school in Mrs. Eaton’s room. Bring a friend and hang out. 

The SHS boys came from behind to place second at the Ram Relays Saturday. In 4th place halfway through the meet, Krounyx Bolleser, Max Jedlicka, Jack Sylvia, and Leo Havey placed second in the 200 free relay giving the team much needed points. In the last event, Needing to beat Macomb in the 400 free relay to get second overall, Leo Havey anchored, coming from behind to out touch Macomb. ‘

Tonight cheer on your Senators hockey club who are ranked #2 over-all in central illinois! They will be battling #3 ranked SHG at Nelson center 8:30 pm. $2 for students.

Art club will resume next Tuesday January 18. We will continue to work on our December art challenge.
