April 16th Announcements

April 16, 2019

  1. The attendance challenge for WMS continues. During April, the grade level who has the highest percentage in attendance at school will have a treat during lunch on Wednesday, May 1st. Each week students will have the opportunity to earn a prize by being in attendance for the week. If a student has perfect attendance for the week on Friday the student will be brought a prize (Prize Patrol). Students will also be able to earn a reward for having perfect attendance for the month. We will also do random attendance checks for students and staff.

  2. Mystery Eggs will be for sale in the cafeteria during ALL lunch shifts.  The eggs are filled with random prizes, such as water bottles, snacks and jean passes good for Thursday (the 18th).  Eggs are 50¢ each or 2 for $1.00 and every egg has a prize.   Proceeds from the eggs will go to the Life Skills students here at WMS.  Have fun supporting a good cause.

  3. 8th Graders attending SHS next year will have the opportunity to join choir.  Springfield High School is currently recruiting students to join our Chamber Mixed Choir and our Scarlet Harmony advanced girls Choir!  If you would like to join one of these, we’d love to have you! If you are interested in the Scarlet Harmony girls choir, you will need to audition after school on Tuesday, May 14th at Springfield High School.  There is no audition for the Chamber Choir! We hope to see you next year!

  4. Today’s Social Goal: I can maintain and improve appropriate school skills in the the mainstream setting. Students should be able to transition effectively between classes and during lunch appropriately and on time.
