October 16th Announcements

October 16, 2019

  • Congratulations to 7th grade student Wyatt Watson. Wyatt qualified for the state cross country meet coming up on Saturday in Normal, IL. If you see Wyatt today, be sure to say way to go!

  • 8th grade students will be randomly selected daily to participate in the roundtable with the LHS Service Learners. If you are selected, please get your lunch and report to room 120 for the roundtable. You will learn about High School expectations and what’s needed to be successful.

  • Please plan on joining us for our upcoming Fall Connection on October 19th from 1 to 3 p.m. We will have a free meal, games, activities, raffle baskets, bounce houses, free haircuts and much more.  Concessions will be available for purchase.

  • Warriors, your attendance matters. We will be having a grade level attendance competition for October starting October 14th through October 31. The grade level that has the highest percentage of students in attendance above 93 % will earn a treat during lunch time. Please make sure you are present and encourage your friends to be in attendance too.

  • Yesterday we started counting your tardies for the next PBIS reward.  In order to attend the Spooky Movie Film Fest on November 11th, you cannot have more than 3 tardies from now until then.  Be sure to get to class on time every period in order to attend your favorite Halloween movie.

  • 7th grade Homework Help will be tomorrow after school. Talk to your teacher to see what missing work you can make up. Bring your work AND a book to read and be in room 208 by 2:40. If you do not have an SSR book with you, you will not be allowed to stay. Please make sure you know how you will get home.

  • We will have a spirit night on October 28 from 4:30 to 7:30 at Chick-fil-A. A portion of proceeds will be donated back to WMS. Everyone who supports will receive a prize.

  • This week’s social goal: I can prepare to end the quarter strong. I know where my grades are and how to correct any failing classes.
