Coping Technique of the Week- Grounding Exercise

If you or your child are feeling anxious or worried, you can try this exercise to “ground you” to stay present in the here and now. This is a mindfulness exercise.  Just read through each step and name the items using your five senses. 

Try to find things right in front of you, but if you can’t find enough, you can just think of things that fit that category.
