All district pre-k classrooms (instructional and blended) utilize The Creative Curriculum to provide students with research-based and intentional activities that promote independence, exploration and learning.

Early Childhood Special Education Instructional Classroom Curriculum
AEPS (Assessment, Evaluation, and Programming System for Infants and Children) - The AEPS is used to create a link between assessement, goal development, intervention and evaluation. Teachers use the AEPS to assess the current skills of each child in order to develop and generate goals and lessons appropriate to individual student need. Teachers complete the AEPS three times per year to document student progress.
All Early Childhood instructional teachers are expected to utilize Division of Early Childhood Best Practices, as set forth by Illinois State Board of Education.

Teachers who are providing Early Childhood resource support for students in the blended pre-k program work collaboratively with the pre-k teachers to evaulate and document student progress using the Early Learning Scale.
