Your child recently took the Winter MAP test and these scores are now available for your family to review and discuss with your child.
As you may recall from the Fall administration of this assessment, our students take the MAP tests in reading and math to provide
information to teachers on where students are ready to learn. This information helps teachers guide their instruction with individual students,
small groups, and the whole class. You will receive a MAP Student Progress Report that shows your child’s Fall and Winter scores.
While there is not an expected level of achievement on the MAP, you can see how your child compares to other students in our district and nation who took the tests.
Our main focus for the MAP test is growing students from one point to the next throughout the year. Therefore, your child will take the MAP test one more time in May.
The goal is to celebrate students’ growth throughout the year. Please talk to your child about their scores and goals they have for the rest of the year.
If you have questions about this report or your child’s academics overall, please contact your child’s teacher.
