This is an acrostic poem. The topic is written down the side of the page and then details are filled in on each line about the topic. The squirrels are very active in the back yard today!
I brainstormed lots of orange things at the top. Then I wrote each line trying to add details. If I took time to revise, I would probably rearrange the lines into a different order.
Can you solve these riddles? Can you write some of your own?
Today I did some revising and added some more words to my writing. :)
Today I wrote a number poem. I brainstormed some ideas about the number 13 at the top of the page. I tried to give my poem rhythm and rhyme.
I hope you are reading your new book. If you haven't started yet, give it a try. The first chapter is pretty short.
I didn't do any writing on December 25, but I did catch up on December 26. If you miss a day, don't give up. Start again. :) Happy writing!
The Earth also rotates (spins) on its axis. This is what gives us day and night.
Today, I wrote about ice because we have certainly seen a lot of it the last few days. It was easy to fill up my page with information about my experiences with it.
**If you run out of room, try writing on the side of your paper.
** It's ok to draw a tiny picture, but most of your page should be full of writing!
Here is my cover for 2016.
