Welcome to 5th Grade!
I believe that in order for students to be most successful, they must have a positive, cooperative learning environment that allows students to concentrate to the task at hand. Given this belief, I have a behavior management system that rewards positive behaviors and teaches recognition and correction of inappropriate behaviors.
Inappropriate Behaviors and Expectations
Inappropriate behaviors are behaviors that impact the learning, emotions or safety of other students, adults and property. At Wanless Elementary, we have three rules and they are:
Respect yourself
Examples include being on task, giving your best effort, being prepared, walking in the hall, etc.
Respect others
Examples include being kind, keeping hands/feet to self, help/share with others, walk on the right side of the hall, be a good listener, etc.
Respect Property
Examples include pushing in chairs, using materials kindly, clean up after yourself, etc.
