2019 - 2020
Hello everyone! I will try to keep the messages to a minimum today regarding e-learning and our schedule/routine for the coming weeks.
1. Here is the link to Seesaw that students/parents can use to login to their assignments. I will still post assignments on Dojo as long as the formatting works. If students have their iPads, they can simply get on the Seesaw app for daily learning.
2. I plan on sending our weekly e-learning schedule through Seesaw so you have an idea of what is to come for each day of learning. I also plan on conducting Zoom meetings every Tuesday and Thursday at 1 pm to assist the video recording lessons I will be posting to Seesaw on Mondays and Wednesdays. Links to the Zooms will be posted on Dojo and Seesaw.
3. Here is another reminder from Dr. Hayes!
We’ll be continuing our food and iPad giveaway next Monday between 10-11. Please grab your child's iPad if you have not already.
4. Please let me know if you have any other questions and I will be prompt in responding! Thanks!
Please use this document for our e-learning!
Good morning, everyone!
I have an aunt that lives in Florida during the winter who retired as an elementary teacher around 10 years ago. She recently shared a link towards some educational lessons a local sea turtle rescue is doing in her town! They do daily lessons at 2 pm. If you click on the link today, you can watch yesterday's lesson through video format. Feel free to click around and enjoy!
Also, we are on Spring Break next week so if you would still like work to be sent just let me know!
Good morning, everyone! I apologize for not contacting you yesterday. My wifi and dojo weren't responding throughout the day! That said, I'd like to provide an update on electronic devices in regards to our current educational status.
Here is a note from Dr. Hayes regarding iPad pickup: Wednesday from 1-3 - Parents will stay in their cars parked on Yale St and someone will bring the device to them. Students do not need to be present.
Using an iPad would be greatly beneficial for your child in regards to completing assignments and using apps they are accustomed to using in class. That said, here is the link to today's activity. Please complete Day 10!
I found an awesome link to some videos and worksheets regarding Abraham Lincoln and his life. This link will take you to a google folder so you may have to download google drive to see the information. Please let me know if the link works and enjoy exploring!
Good morning! Here is a great math lesson on number patterns from Nearpod. Here is the link and code! Just follow the same steps like you did yesterday!
Good morning! I figured we would take a look at a Nearpod lesson today. Today's lesson is student-paced which allows for you to explore on your own. You will need a code to enter the lesson which I will provide along with the site link. I would love for you to gather 10 facts from the lesson, but you are more than welcome to gather more! Here is the link and the code:
Have fun exploring!
Hello! Hopefully yesterday's link worked well and you got a lot from it! Here is the same link to work on Day 7 and its activities.
I am working on setting up a meeting for all of us to see each other using the website Zoom. Please let me know if this is something you are interested in and I will get it finalized! If this sounds appealing, we can try to set up a meeting for this Friday!
Good morning, everyone! Welcome to Week 2 of home learning! I recently came across some great daily articles that Scholastic has posted to keep us occupied during our time away from school. Each day has featured articles that allow for student interaction. Each article has a text-to-speech feature as well.
Please let me know if the link works! Also, since you are looking at Scholastic today, you do not have to login to Epic. However, I want you all staying sharp on your basic facts so remember to login to Reflex!
Thanks and let's keep up the great work!
March 20 Plan and Reminders
Morning! There are a couple of reminders I want to send out before I share today's activity. Every day, I would like your child to log in to Reflex and Epic to do basic facts and reading. I sent out a picture of the students' login information yesterday! If you have any questions with this, please let me know!
For today's activity, I would like for everyone to go around their homes and record the countries that everyday objects are from. These objects could be things such as clothes, electronics, furniture, kitchen appliances, etc. I would like for you to look for 25 objects and write down the country that it was made in. AKA look for the "Made in ..." sticker or sign. If possible, I'd love for you all to tell me the most unique country any object you've found is produced in! Have fun and enjoy the scavenger hunt!
Good morning! Let's go on a field trip today! Virtual that is...San Diego Zoo is one of the most diverse and popular zoos in the United States. It is even featured on Animal Planet every once in awhile. For today, please explore and collect ten facts of your choice using any of the resources on the website.

Also, please remember to read 30 minutes today! I am getting back into a book about World War 2! Have a great day!
Good morning! If you go to my webpage I am posting links on my Lesson Plans page. All online resources for the kids will be on here.
For today, please have your child log-in to Pearson Math and watch the 16-2 Visual Learning video. After this they can look at page 831 in their math books. The Another Look video will also be posted for their own use. Be sure to look at all of the pages in the lesson to help with your understanding.
In regards to reading for today, I would like for them to read for at least 30 minutes using either their bag of books or their Epic account. Students have their Epic log-in information on my website and in their binders! The class code is also on my website.
Please stay tuned for other resources that I will be posting on my district website! Have a great day and stay safe!
