Getting Close, But Not Giving Up!

Oct 3, 2018 We are getting close to the end of the quarter, but we are not giving up!! We are still hard at work studying characters, practicing investigative journalism, and planning problem-based learning group projects. Students should still be reading at home every night so they can make progress on their reading goals, as well as completing the little bit of homework they get a few nights per week. Sep 3, 2018 This week in lthe 8th Grade Language Arts classes we will be working on turning moments of witnessed drama into concise reported newscasts. Sudents will also be working on building their reading stamina while delving into discovering the intricate traits of complex characters throughout their reading. We will also continue to work on our problem-based learning projects. This week, groups will be working on their planning phase of their projects.

May 16, 2017 7th Grade Writing:  News: This week in the 7th Grade Writing classes we are presenting the children's books students created, as well as beginning our next project "Me in Three." This project is about the student's growth or the different sides of themselves. May 9, 2017 7th Grade Writing: News: In the 7th Grade Writing classes, students are continuing to work on their children's book. This week they will be finding pictures to use, and putting their presentations/books together. We will be presenting next Monday. Assignments: Monday-Begin looking for pictures as a group. Apr 25, 2017 7th Grade Writing: News: In the 7th Grade Writing classes we are wrapping up our unit on speech skills. Students will be deilivering one last one-minute speech on a topic of their choice. Their speech must be memorized and stay on topic, without using "like, um, uh, or stalling."
