How do you feel today?

Apr 22, 2020 Hi students, let me know how you are doing today by posting the number of the artwork above that is most like your mood.  Third graders, can you name all four artists?

The many moods of color

Mar 17, 2020 Color can show mood,  but no color has just one feeling. We are all different in how we respond to color. For instance, the color blue means happiness (like blue skies) to some, sadness (the blues) to others. What meanings do you have for certain colors? Share them here! I'll start: to me,  black = mystery,  orange = cheerful,  green = calm

What's your line?

Sep 4, 2013 Every class will start the year thinking about lines and what they do. But did you know that lines have personalities just like people? If I could be a line, I think I would like to be a wavy line. It moves like a zigzag, only a little more playful and friendly. What line would you be, and why? Leave a comment here and you will be recognized. PS: I think I would like to be a horizontal wavy line. They seem very calm and peaceful.

Balancing Act

Oct 21, 2009 Which type of balance do you prefer in an artwork: symmetrical, asymmetrical, or radial? And why do you like that type of balance? Make your opinion known! (I like asymmetrical best because it's fun to arrange on the paper.)
