Springfield Public Schools Visual Elementary Art Statement
Remote Learning Time During The Coronavius; April 15, 2020
Dear Families,
In accordance with the Illinois Arts Learning Standards for Visual Arts the District #186 elementary visual arts educators will provide lessons which address the following standards:
Create: Anchor Standard 1 - Generate and conceptualize artistic ideas and work.
Respond: Anchor Standard 7 - Perceive and analyze artistic work.
Connect - Anchor Standard 10 - Synthesize and relate knowlede and personal experiences to make art
Your child's art teacher will let you know where lessons will be posted during this remote learning time. keep being creative!

Personal Note from your art teacher, Mrs. Borjon: My lesson plans and other art projects will be posted on my personal teachers website for Harvard Park Elementary and Lee School. Plus all students will be able to contact me, send me pictures of their art work, and tell me about their art project through my email: joborjo@sps186.org :) . Please email me weekly with your work, so I may mark you down in my record book for participating in a project of your choice. The SIU Med School Art Show
Due to the Corona Virus, the spring 2020 art show featuring Sangamon County artists, elementary through high school is now cancelled for everyones health. Congratulations to those artists who were about to have art work sent to this wonderful show. You are very talented and we are very proud of you. We are also very thankful for everything The SIU Med School has done for our young artists throughout the years. Thank you SIU Med School and all dedicated workers who is helping us during this difficult time. We appreciate all you do.
