Newsletter October 1

Oct 1, 2014 The children are really starting to get the hang of being at school! They are moving through routines throughout the day, getting to know one another, and are showing greater independence in the classroom. If this is your child’s first school experience, you may not realize all of the things we expect children to do on their own at this age. Mrs. Redding and I provide lots of coaching, modeling, and guidance each day with the goal that children will grow in independence. READ MORE

Sep 10, 2014 Dear Families, We have been having a great time in the classroom! The children are settling in to the daily routines and getting to know their classmates. Our book of the week last week was Knuffle Bunny, and the book this week is Knuffle Bunny Too. We are focusing on reading comprehension and identifying the differences in the two stories. These stories are also terrific examples of social skills, as the kids note how Trixie acts as a toddler and then as a preschooler. READ MORE

Week of September 30

Oct 1, 2013 Good Morning Everyone! I hope you and your family were able to enjoy the beautiful weekend! There are so many fantastic places in the Springfield area to visit this time of year. We went to Bomke's Pumpkin patch in Gardner yesterday. My kids were amazed to see the pumpkins in the huge patch, still on the vine. They also enjoyed the corn maze, with stalks of corn that were twice their size. The free popcorn and apple cider were also a hit. READ MORE
