Week of November 4

November 5, 2013

Good Morning All!

I apologize for the late delivery of the Monday email, I was out yesterday with a sick child. Seems to be the season for runny noses, coughs, and tummy troubles. We are encouraging healthy practices at school with frequent hand washing, covering coughs, and using tissues. You can help us fight the sick season by doing the same! While we encourage children to be at school everyday, you can help fight the spread of germs by keeping your child home when he/she is not feeling well. Be sure to call into the office when your child will be absent.

News for the week:

Monday: 5 Day Book is In November. Our vocabulary words are: journey, beneath, and treasure

Tuesday: Please return all library books and homework. Some overdue notices were sent home last week, please let us know if you need information about replacement costs.

Wednesday: Language lesson with Mrs. Meyer. Be sure to look out for her newsletter in the Wednesday folder. Even if your child is not enrolled for speech services, the language lesson is an excellent learning benefit provided in the classroom each week!

Thursday: Animals in Winter puppet show from our friends at Lincoln Memorial Gardens. This puppet show is sponsored by the ELC PTC through annual fundraisers. Thank you for your participation in the fundraisers that make these kinds of events possible for our students!

Friday: NO SCHOOL Teacher Inservice Day

Monday: NO SCHOOL in honor of Veteran's Day

Have a great week!
