Week of November 11

November 12, 2013

Good Morning Room 167 Families!

Were your kids as excited as mine to wake up to snow outside?! I had no trouble getting them up and moving today. With this quick weather change, there are just a few reminders that I would like to pass along to everyone. Please label everything that you send to school to bundle up your child. Coats, hats, gloves, and scarves are easily lost or even unrecognizable to the children (as well as the teachers). Names really help! Please allow extra time to teach your child how to put on the extras…most have coats mastered by now, but hats and gloves present another challenge. Are hats and gloves necessary? YES! Our outdoor policy is that we continue to go outside unless the temperature (actual or windchill) falls below 20 degrees. Help your child be prepared and be comfortable!

5 Day Vocabulary book: The Little Old Lady Who was Not Afraid of Anything
Words: sliver, startled, cottage

Thursday: Picture Retake Day
Ms. Groebel from WSEC comes to share books with the children

Have a great week!
